What We Do
The Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Ohio actively supports programs and initiatives that preserve history, promote education, encourage genealogical research, and honor the individuals who helped shape Colonial America.
While rooted in historical preservation, the Society’s impact extends far beyond commemorative activities. Through partnerships with educators, historians, students, and local communities, we help ensure that Colonial history remains relevant and accessible to future generations.
Historical Preservation
The Society supports efforts to preserve historical sites, monuments, and markers connected to Colonial history. These projects serve as important reminders of the people and events that influenced the development of the American colonies and ultimately the United States.
Educational Programs
Education is central to our mission. Through scholarships, teacher enrichment opportunities, publications, and outreach programs, we encourage the study and appreciation of Colonial American history.
